Kiehl’s Art Lotion for a Cause

     The cosmetic industry accounts for one of the world’s biggest expenditures according to studies. In 2005, the world has spent a staggering EUR 70 B/y on cosmetics. This year Kiehl’s collaborated with American artist, Kenny Scharf, to recreate its Crème de Corps set. Kenny Scharf is prominent figure in the East Village art scene during the 1980s. He is famous for his interdisciplinary art scene making sparkly, pop-ed and monstrous paintings and installations. He is also known for his use of images of animated cartoons popular during his childhood, such as The Flintstones and The Jetsons.

Each Crème de Corps has a touch of Kenny Scharf’s creativity that changes the face of cosmetics. Young Couple’s Break Up – Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez

These famous lines from Taylor Swift’s hit “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” may have been on Selena’s music playlist these days. But who knows, Justin is probably cooking up something right now to win back his sweetheart.

Yes, it is sad to say that the young couple has allegedly broken up a week ago after two years of being together, reports say. Since their much publicized relationship in February 2011, Justin and Selena have been very open about their romance to the press and their millions of fans across the globe.  They are usually spotted in every high profile galas and events, unafraid to show the world their love. They are indeed the Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears of this young generation.

The romantic duo is believed to have parted ways because of the complications in their hectic work schedules. Justin is flying one plane after another for his “Believe” album worldwide tour. On the other hand, Selena is currently busy filming Wizards of Waverly Place reunion movie in Hollywood. They have not been pictured together since mid October. Reports of their breakup surfaced first week of November after Justin’s most talked about performance in the Victoria’s Secrets Fashion Show.

Immediately after Justin’s appearance in the said fashion show, where he was seen cozy with Hungarian model, Barbara Palvin, Selena tweeted a photo of Justin and another artist with Barbara in the background, with an intriguing caption, “….” Another incident led to the speculation that Barbara also triggered the Justin-Selena breakup. Justin watched the Lion King musical in New York with a bunch of people, including Barbara.

Justin has refused to give any comments on the issued he is involved with. Sources close to Justin and Selena say that the two are set to meet to talk things out as Justin reportedly wants to give their relationship another shot.

Marni Breaks Boring Perfume Conventions, Releases New Scent for Fun and Eccentric Women

Marnis first perfumeMarni, the renowned Italian fashion label is set to release a new female scent in February 2013, which bears the same name.

The brand was established in 1994 and since then it gained reputation for the use of eccentric prints and playful tailoring. It has also grown so much in the past years and turns over about $100 million annually

According to Consuelo Castiglioni, the Swiss Italian creative head and founder of Marni through an interview with the Women’s Wear Daily (WWD), the perfume will certainly reflect the fashion of the brand.

Castiglioni added that the perfume is individual and does not evoke anything in particular. She imparted that the scent if for a woman who dresses herself, does not follow the trends but is still sophisticated and is a bit eccentric.

The said perfume is produced through a tie up with Aramis as well as at Estée Lauder’s Designer Fragrances division.

One the other hand, the Aramis global brand president Veronique Gabai-Pinsky depicted the scent as very modern and bold.

Aside from the said perfume, Marni’s fragrance line includes shower gel, deodorant, body lotion and body cream.

Marni is bound to debut through an exclusive availability at Saks Fifth Avenue for six months. Afterwards it will expand to 2,000 points for worldwide sales.

More and more fashion brands are releasing their own line of scents these days and it seems that Marni is following the trend Marni 2013 Collection SetNews reports add that the model Raquel Zimmermann is the one chosen to launch the campaign. Based on the released images, which depicts the “new Marni baby”, the perfume is packaged in an adorable chic polka dot print bottle with a red stopper.

Fashonetc.com further stated that the scent is a blend of spicy and woody notes, which is combined with intense rose oil to infuse voluptuousness.

The design of the packaging comes from Castiglioni who has found inspiration in a flea market. According to her, the bottle reflects their concept. She explains that women would want to keep it. The dots meanwhile reflect the concept of the whole perfume. These dots are a play to the proportions of the cap.
